How do we experience seasons? Waiting for strawberries to grow is one way! There aren't strawberries to pick in September in our area. We have to wait for the spring. Spring starts in March, right?
Since March, the children had been waiting and waiting for strawberries! With every class, each time we went to the garden, the first thing the students wanted to check was the strawberry patch. First, there were only green leaves. Then, white flowers appeared. Next, there were green small strawberries. FINALLY, this past week in June, we saw red, ripe strawberries, ready for picking!
