Signs of Spring

Recently, the Kindergarten children went on a spring walk with Mrs Baumgarten. We counted the robins that seemed to be everywhere! We saw 15 robins on one side of the soccer field, and a few minutes later, we saw 23 robins on the other side. They were also in the woods and the Children's House playscape. Probably a hundred robins were spread around this area! That led us to talk about migrating birds.

We saw forsythia, daffodils, sedum, and the flowers that are growing from the bulbs that Mrs Bakshi's class planted over a year ago. Crocuses, hyacinths, tulips, daffodils and irises are beginning to emerge now.
We compared two different daffodils and discovered differences in color and size.
Suddenly, a bird chirped at us! After looking carefully, we found a bird's nest in a bush.
Signs of spring.
